Clothing chosen with
care. Enduring style.

Stellar River Meadow is an independent seller of clothing and accessories made from natural fibres: wool, linen, cotton and vegetable-tanned leather. We keep the selection small on purpose
and choose each piece for its weave, its finish and how it should look after years of wear, not for what is fashionable this season.

Questions, fittings and orders are arranged by email first. Write to us with what you are looking for
and our reply will say what we can offer, in which sizes and at what price, and how a visit or a delivery could work.

This is a short guide to washing merino at home without incident.

Vegetable-tanned leather: what changes as it ages

If you have bought a vegetable-tanned belt or bag and are not sure what to expect, this is a short account of what the material does and how to help it along.

How to choose natural fibre clothing for cold winters

Cold, dry winters are specific. When the air is dry rather than damp, the wind matters more than the thermometer, and that changes what a garment needs to do. A coat that performs well in a mild city may be inadequate there, and a fabric that looks substantial on a hanger can lose its warmth quickly once the wind picks up. This is a practical guide to reading fabric composition and construction before you buy.
